Grant Application Process

From nonprofit organizations to fellowships, our grantees pioneering programs across early childhood development, maternal and child mental health and wellbeing, and financial empowerment gain access to both our financial and social capital to catapult transformative change in the wellbeing of Atlanta’s mothers and children.

Our applications follow a two-step process.

(1) Send Letters of Intent

Please email your LOI to The Liz Blake Giving Fund. LOIs must not exceed 2-pages and include a brief description of the following:

  • Mission and vision of your organization.

  • The problem you are trying to solve.

  • Your solution and how your solution is two-generation in nature.

LOIs are reviewed on a rolling basis to determine eligibility. Based on your LOI, you may be contacted for a further conversation or site visit. Approved organizations will then be invited to apply for a grant.

Grants are funded on a rolling basis throughout the year. Typical grant size is between $25,000 and $75,000.

(2) Submit a Grant Proposal

If an organization is invited to apply to the Liz Blake Giving Fund, you will be invited to submit a grant proposal, which must include:

  • Operating Budget and a Program Budget, if applicable.

    • Funds can be applied to general operations if the proposal has a two-generation orientation.

    • Grant requests should not exceed 10% of an organization's operating budget in one year.

  • Most recent financial statements.

  • Population served in Metro Atlanta (zip codes/neighborhoods).

  • Partners (encouraged).

  • Timeline.

    • Nonprofits may apply for multi-year grants.

  • Anticipated outcomes.

  • Two-generational alignment.
